Welcome to Price Dental Associates, Online! We are a family-oriented practice dedicated to providing high-quality, comfortable dental care for our patients seeking healthy smiles.

This month is a festive one, with Halloween and National Dental Hygiene Month both on the calendar. At Price Dental Associates in Houston, Texas Dr. Price and Dr. Bauscher are happy to share the message of the National Dental Hygiene Association, “Do The Daily 4”, to help our patients have a healthy, happy Halloween!

Do the Daily 4

— Brush your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes to lessen plaque and help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

— Floss between your teeth and gums once a day using dental floss or interdental brushes to remove food particles and plaque in places your toothbrush can’t reach.

–Rinse with an anti-microbial mouthwash once daily to freshen breath and help prevent gum disease. Only use mouthwash with the ADA Seal of Acceptance to ensure that the product is both safe AND effective.

— Chewing sugarless gum boosts your daily regimen by “cleaning” your teeth after eating and drinking when you can’t actually brush your teeth. Chewing stimulates saliva production to neutralize plaque acids, remineralize enamel and wash away food particles.

Healthy Treats

— Keep candy bowls filled to the brim with fresh fruit. Crisp fall apples in all of their variety, and clementines or tangerines are easy to grab and snack on.

— Treat your family to healthy, snack-sized bags of pretzels, popcorn, dried fruit, nuts, pumpkin seeds, and trail mix. These are also healthy choices whether you keep bowls of these in your home for your family or at your office for yourself.

— Kids love fun treats, you can decorate small oranges, tangerines or clementines like jack-o-lanterns with non-toxic ink to display in your bowls at home. These can also be handed out on Halloween instead of candy, and your neighbors (of all ages) will love you.

— Help your kids celebrate with non-sugary treats. Reward them throughout the month with festive treats such as pencils, erasers, stickers, temporary tattoos, glow sticks, play-doh, sticky spooky eyeballs and wiggly spider rings. Treats don’t have to be sweet!
